In this project, I was tasked to create an object of my choosing that represents a "concept" that defines reality. For example, the concept of "family."
I decided to focus on the concept of "responsibility." The premise of the posters is to visualize several negative impacts that humans have on the world, whether it is to the environment or other human beings alike. It was imperative to make a design that was quick to understand. It must be flexible enough to allow it to be reused repeatedly. Furthermore, it is simple enough to be understood through a quick glance but also allows the viewer to make their own interpretation.
I chose to make posters for this assignment because I was inspired by the work of Brian Stauffer. The way he conveys complex ideas by combining a few shapes and objects was something I wanted to replicate with this assignment.
